Our great Cast - A Dance For Bethany

SAG Cast

Cast of Characters:

ABBEY FISHER:  A Investigative newspaper reporter.

Robyn Lively  (Lead Actress)

Actress - filmography

Abbey Fisher is beautiful (a bit strong-willed)) and very intelligent. She is very much in love and loved by all who meet her. She is distinct with her words and she says what she means, not a joker at all; solid as a rock, confident. She’d rather have a plain cup of coffee than cappuccino any day. She is restless and needs to break out of the protective box people have built around her and is ready to do it at all costs. Her compassion has been buried by her years of striving for the American dream but the coffin cover is about to come off.

JAMES FISHER:  Abbey's husband and Civil Rights Attorney.

William McNamara  (Lead Actor)
Billy McNamara is the lead male as James, Abbey's husband in A Dance For Bethany

Actor - filmography

Character Description:  James is every woman’s dream. He and Abbey were childhood sweethearts. He fell head over heels in love and has been that way ever since; even after 10 years of marriage he’s still crazy in love. James is average in looks, the boy next door. Emotions run high with this character. He is a quick study at his profession and moving up in the ranks …. James is a good guy but his weakness is wanting to please everyone to keep from losing everything.

BETHANY (BET) RENEE STEVENSON:  Trafficked at age 12 and exploited since.

Lori Beth Edgeman
 (Supporting)

Lori Beth Edgeman is Bethany, the title character in A Dance For Bethany

Actress - filmography

Character Description:  Bethany has a knock out body and very attractive when in her role as a stripper but childlike and innocent when she’s cleaned up. Bet is street smart but uneducated; spunky and with an attitude; and although she doesn’t have the social graces and skills to land a new career she has wisdom beyond her years and an unconquerable spirit. She is courageous yet fearful of anything good, gentle and kind. Her childhood dream was to be a dancer.

SARAH EVREST - Abbey's best friend.

Ann Mahoney   (Supporting)

Actress - filmography

Character Description:
Abbey’s assistant and photographer at the newspaper. Sarah is flighty, happy go lucky, a real activist and adventurer. Sarah dresses like a free-spirited soul. She never conforms to society, has a great sense of humor that balances Abbey’s straight forward look at life. This girl’s a real friend and will go the distance with Abbey in all of her affairs. We should all be so lucky to have a friend like Sarah.  The "sidekick" is re-introduced to film in our era!

ERIC VANDEVER:   Dance instructor:, Bethany's first ever sincere love interest.

Wil Horneff   (Supporting)

Actor - filmography

Character Description: Eric has a strong character for his age. He’s not a lady’s man and women do not normally do a double take when they see him although when they get to know him they don’t want to leave. Eric actually waits for the right woman to come along… and she does when he meets Bet. He is engrossed in and dedicated to building his profession as a dance instructor. Eric is a kind and gentle spirit, patient and extremely self-disciplined. The beauty of Eric is his inner strength and character.

SENATOR GEORGE ABBOT: Abbey's nemesis and her husband's employer

Frank Hoyt Taylor  (Supporting)

Actor - filmography

Character Description: His stature only enforces his intimidation tactics. Fearless to his enemies, a lamb to his supporters, he’s a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. Senator Abbot makes Jeckyl and Hyde look like Abbot and Costello. He’s publicly savvy and charismatic.

JOSH CARRELLI:  Senator’s friend (?)

Bruce McKinnon  (Supporting)

Actor - filmography

Character Description: Laid back, a neat freak. He is the best there is at keeping his cool. Because he’s a master at putting on the poker face, you never know what’s going through his mind. He’s the man in charge of everything and everyone and fools them all…until…the end.
